Ainie Fletcher Smith Sr. is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Smitty Rides, Inc., a Florida-incorporated, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) providing specialized medical logistics and courier services across the Tampa Bay region. A U.S. Air Force veteran and seasoned federal operations leader, Mr. Smith built Smitty Rides on a foundation of compliance discipline, operational precision, and a deep understanding of how high-stakes logistics must perform — not just promise.

Mr. Smith's career spans more than four decades of distinguished service across military, federal, and private-sector environments. He served in the United States Air Force from 1973 to 1981 as a Jet Engine Technician, and continued his commitment through the U.S. Air Force Reserve — 927th Security Forces — rising to First Sergeant before completing his reserve service in 1997. That military foundation shaped his approach to accountability, safety, and mission-first execution in every role that followed.

Following his active military service, Mr. Smith built a 26-year career with the United States Postal Service, holding progressively senior roles across multiple regions. As a Maintenance Supervisor in Troy, Michigan, a Facilities Engineer (EAS-19) in Detroit, and ultimately a Maintenance Manager (EAS-23) in Tampa, he directed large-scale operational teams, managed complex infrastructure systems, led equipment procurement initiatives, and sustained 99%+ operational uptime for mission-critical federal facilities.
